You need to do these things, so start by talking to Splinter, the huge man standing near the entrance from Clerk’s Ward. You will need to buy a lot of special items from Vrischika. But she also has some excellent weapons and charms. And if you’re on an evil path, you can sell one of your companions into slavery here.

Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone

Jumble will roll over and agree to remove his curses from both you (10,000 xcritical website XP) and Reekwind (1,000 XP) if you’ll only remove your curse from him. The Festhall is the headquarters of the Society of Sensation, also known as the Sensates, and one of the most important buildings in Clerk’s Ward. You will gain a few important quests here, and you have to come here to resolve other quests that you gained elsewhere. The first time you enter here, Vrischika at 2 will have a thing or two to say about Morte and not least Fall-From-Grace. She will accuse Morte of lying and Fall-From-Grace of being a spy for the Baatezu and claim that the Brothel is a training ground for her agents.

This will get his attention and for Evil points you can tell him that it serves him right. Keep talking to him and wait patiently for a response. When he does respond to you, ask him what he was meditating on. Follow the conversation line about the Way of Stone to receive a permanent +1 AC boost. Ask him what he does here and ask whether he can train you.

You can also talk to him about a fire and admit that you may have been responsible. Talk to the Festhall Room Clerk at reception who will give you your room key which you can use to unlock the easternmost chamber. You can search the shelves for a bunch of low level scrolls (worth a few copper, at least) and various charms.

If you have 18 Intelligence, you will recover a memory for 5000XP. Ask to play a game with her and you will recover another memory worth 5000XP. If you have 16 Intelligence, you will not beat her in debate or in the game but will still recover memories, xcriticalg a total of 6000XP. Insist on helping and she’ll tell you that her first love Merriman possesses the keys to her heart. Offer to help her out and ask for a reward if you’re particularly heartless.

Finam’s Book

Annah will correct him on his speech and things will deteriorate. Talk to it to learn that you’ve found Mertwyn, or his head at least. As you pass the entrance to the Brothel, you’ll see Jolmi’s Messenger. Jolmi Syrma is looking for someone who cannot die.

The Temple of Elemental Evil

Ghysis the Crooked at 9 is giving a lecture on the Blood War. Listen to his lecture and make sure to ask all the xcritical official site questions you can. You will regain a memory (1,500 XP) of yourself serving in the Blood War. If pressed, Ghysis will tell you how he fed them to the Pillar of Skulls in Avernus in return for information on how to escape. Step back in, speak to Jumble, and throw Salabash’s curse on him!

  1. Return to Aelwyn and ask about your previous meeting to learn that you were a Sensate in a former incarnation and that another incarnation tried to murder her.
  2. Confirm her name and then you can make a vow if you want some Law points or demand a reward for Evil points.
  3. She’ll ask your name; as usual you can tell her “Adahn”.

The other thing you can do with the Grimoire is sell it for around 4500C which is by far the best option. The Sensate Guides at 2 can unlock the sensory stones for you. There are 20 sensations that you can experience. Each of the 14 ordinary sensations will give you 750 XP and each of the 6 more elaborate sensations will give you 1,500 XP. Speak to any of the guides and choose an experience, then follow the guide’s directions to the right sensory stone.

The exit back up to the main hall of the Brothel is at 1. Once you have learned from Ecco that Kesai-Serris is Ravel’s daughter, Nenny will suggest that you speak to Juliette, since she and Kesai used to be friends. At 9 you will find the entrance to the Brothel Cellar.

To solve this quest, speak to Splinter in the Festhall and he will give the permission. Speak to him to learn that he is the father of Deionarra, the ghost you met in the Mortuary. Tell him of this, and that you believe you were the man she was traveling with, then promise him to let him know if you learn what happened to his daughter. Can be returned to Finam in exchange for his father’s notes on the Uyo language (which helps unlock the Dodecahedron) and 25,000 XP. The cupboard next to Luis contains one copper piece and Finam’s Book.

Clerk’s Ward

It doesn’t really matter what sort of weapon you choose to create, but a High Quality Battle Axe is worth more copper when you sell it. The quality of the item you create depends on your Intelligence score, but you don’t need anything ridiculous to create the best quality weapon. You have no further need of the tongs and apron but may want to keep the Forge Hammer for the time being. Return to Keldor and show him what you made for 8000XP.

Go back to Thildon to gauge his reaction and ask whether he’s willing to tell his side of the story under spell. He’ll have the gall to ask whether you’ll let him get his stuff and disappear. Your response has fairly obvious alignment implications.
